Bahar Oganer

BAHAR OGANER (1980 - )

Oganer was born in Ankara in 1980. She graduated from the Painting Department of Fine Arts Faculty of Dokuz Eylül University. She finished her master’s degree program at the same university. She paints woman figures, she creates with lines and does not give any identity, onto the plain and neatly colored spaces. The figures she use in her paintings turned back are placed as watchers in the paintings, but in fact they are being watched by the spectator. This way, she includes the spectator into the painting. She lives and works in Izmir.
