It was founded by Sultan Abdülaziz in 1278 H. (1682) under the name Osmani. The Ottoman insignia is in the form of a 7-pointed star, the back sides are not blank, they are enamelled like the front side, and in the middle, there is a double drum and alem symbolizing the Independence of the Ottoman Empire, and on it is the hijri text "year 699", which is the date of establishment of the Ottoman Empire.
